چکیده

Cu]-N-(2-hydroxyacetophenone)glycinate ([Cu]NHAG) was prepared using in house-made NHAG ligand and [Cu]CuCl2 produced via the Zn(p,x)Cu (180μA proton irradiation, 22MeV, 3.2h) and purified by a ion chromatography method. [Cu]NHAG radiochemical purity was >98% and >99.9% by RTLC and HPLC methods respectively after purification by SPE. [Cu]NHAG was administered into normal and tumor bearing mice followed by biodistribution studies up to 180 minutes. The best tumor accumulation was observed by animal sacrification after 120 min (tumor/muscle and tumor/blood ratios were 25.6 and 3.4 respectively). [Cu]NHAG is a potential PET radiotracer for tumor imaging.

Abstract Backgraound: Hypoxia is an important determinant for biological behavior of malignant solid tumors. In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that tumor hypoxia is associated with an increased likelihood of local recurrence and distant metastasis, as well as resistance to radiation therapy and certain types of chemotherapy. Studies have shown that some copper-bis thiosemicarbazones es...

Preliminary imaging studies of [61Cu]diacetyl-bis (N4-methylthiosemi-carbazone) in normal and hypoxic tumor models

Introduction: [61Cu]diacetyl-bis(N4-methylthiosemicarbazone) ([61Cu]ATSM) is a well-established hypoxia imaging tracer with simple production and significant specifity. In this work the accumulation of the tracer is studied in wild-type, necrotic and hypoxic fibrosarcoma tumors. Methods: [61Cu]ATSM was prepared u...

[66Ga]Oxine complex preparation and stability as a possible PET radiopharmaceutical.

Background: Gallium-66 (T1/2= 9.49 h) is an interesting radionuclide that has potential for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of biological processes in intermediate to slow target tissue uptake. Oxine has been labeled with this radioisotope in the form of [66Ga]gallium chloride for its possible diagnostic properties. Materials and methods: 66Ga was produced in the 30 MeV cyclotron (Cy...
